Wind profilers

The Scintec Flat Array Sodars are acoustic phased array wind profilers. Sodars vertically emit sound pulses and derive the output information form the frequency and amplitude of the atmospheric echoes. Besides wind speed and direction, a variety of information is provided about the characteristics and structure of boundary layer turbulence.

The Scintec AP-series are phased array radar wind profilers. Radar wind profilers analyse the frequency and amplitude of electromagnetic pulses which are reflected from the atmosphere. Besides wind speed and direction, turbulence characteristics and information about the atmospheric structure are derived.
